Know Iran

Iran is a country in Western Asia comprising a land area of 1,648,195 km with over 81 million populations. Iran is bordered to the Northwest by Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the North by the Caspian Sea, to the Northeast by Turkmenistan, to the East by Afghanistan and Pakistan, to the South by the Persian Gulf, and to the West by Turkey and Iraq. The country's central location in Eurasia and Western Asia, and its proximity to the Strait of Hormuz, give it geostrategic importance. Tehran is the country's capital and largest city, as well as its leading economic and cultural center.

As a land and a nation, Iran has an ancient background and is one of the oldest countries in the world. The Ancient and original Iranian culture has not only been inherited all over the places in Iran but also in its neighboring independent countries. The country has a rich cultural heritage and there are 23 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran, as of 2018: 22 cultural sites and 1 natural and many more on the tentative list.

As long as the international legal environment of Iran is concerned, which includes international activities, documents and treaties signed or ratified by the country, it is noteworthy that the country is a founding member of the United Nations, Economic Cooperation Organization, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of the Islamic Conference and OPEC. Due to the location and resources of this country,there have also been many commercial and investment contracts concluded by natural and legal persons of other countries with the natural and legal persons of this country on various subjects.
